“Year in review”
We, as a congregation, have been working on “transitioning” for about 13 months and it seems like a good time for review.
A few activities over that time: we replaced most of our lighting with energy efficient lights, 104 people took the Congregational Assessment Tool Survey, we held Jesus Parties, updated the youth room, added Pray Ground to the sanctuary, revised the confirmation program, sent youth to National Youth Gathering, sent quilts to LWR, fielded a softball team, repaired the roof, repaired the heating system, said ‘Good bye’ to Mary and to Michelle, hired Pam, involved many talented people in new worship ideas, “confirmed” a great class of youth, graduated an amazing group of young adults, handing out hundreds of backpacks filled with school supplies, met with leaders of Trinity and Bethany to share ideas, and more….
Wow! We’ve been busy.
So, what is next? Only God knows that for sure. We do well to stay in touch with God (through prayer) so we can join in God’s great adventure.
As we move forward let us be encouraged by our past and inspired for our future knowing that God is up to something in and through our work for the kingdom. Hope to see everyone at worship this Sunday and at the informational meeting that follows!
Blessings,
Pastor Mike
