“A Time for Everything”
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 is fairly well known…“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, A time to plant and a time to uproot…”
What time is it here at Faith Lutheran?  My sense is that we have talked about our woes and trials and difficulties and now it is time to do something about them.  The data from the survey we took last January suggests that it is time for Reinvention at Faith.  Here is what the summary says…
What are the starting points in Reinvention?
By the data, there are critical success factors that correlate with what members think of when weighing their overall satisfaction with Faith.  Improvements made in these areas are likely to have the biggest impact on how members feel about the church.  These are areas to explore as starting points:
 1) Worship – refreshing the investment to provide a weekly worship experience that is exceptional in both quality and spiritual content, while working collaboratively between laity and pastor to bring this about.
 2) Gifts discovery – providing members opportunity to discover their spiritual gifts and engage them for the sake of the congregation and world.
 3) Hospitality – providing training to all members in what makes a hospitable church and enlisting their involvement.
 4) Life-long learning – develop the awareness among members that they have a spiritual responsibility for life-long learning and formation.
Is it time to allow the Holy Spirit to enter into our lives and to reinvent our mission and ministry?  Which area do you think is a good place to start? Come and join the conversation at our next Jesus Party!
