The Wednesday Quilters have finished another year of hard work and fun together. They created 179 quilts this year. A special "thank you" quilt was presented to Pastor Mike on May 15.

We invite anyone who is interested in checking out what we do (besides laugh, visit and have coffee). During their season from September 2, 2015 to May 4, 2016, we completed 225 quilts which they have packed and shipped to Lutheran World Relief.

A QUILTER
A quilter brings us comfort, on the chilliest of nights,
With unseen hands she tucks us in and softly dims the lights.
What many others may throw away, she knows what she can use.
She brings together every square, arranging varied hues.
With simple needle and mere thread, and batts without a form,
She sews each piece with tender love to keep us snug and warm.
The Lord has helped her understand the value of things old.
She swaddles us in memories, each precious to behold.

Previous Activities:
Do you need a part-time job? There are openings for assembling Lutheran World Relief quilts. No experience required, but you must work on Wednesday mornings. The hours are the best you will ever find, any time after 8:30 a.m. and quitting time is whenever you have to leave. We do encourage you to be on the job y 9:30 a.m. or you will miss coffee break. And it is the best coffee break ever -- it lasts as long as the conversation and laughter hold out, and there are no calories in the goodies as whoever brings them takes them all out. The wages are poor -- in fact, nonexistent, but the fringe benefits are awesome. You will never find a better way to combine fellowship and service. So join us on any Wednesday and check out this great opportunity!
Quilters meet here at Faith Lutheran Church on Wednesdays at 8:30 a.m. (or when you can arrive) during the school year.
Stay as long as you like .. be sure to stay for coffee, fellowship and lots of laughs.
All are invited! You do not need to be an experienced quilter to join the Wednesday morning quilters.
Coffee time: 9:30 a.m.

GRADUATION QUILTS
As has been a tradition at Faith Lutheran Church for many years, the women of Faith honored 2015's graduates with handmade quilts and pillows to show support of their high school accomplishment during the graduation-Sunday worship service.
